The Nationwide Public Safety Broadband Network (NPSBN) is becoming a reality in the state of Ohio! Governor Kasich has chosen to opt in to FirstNet’s plan to implement the network in the state of Ohio. In an effort to keep Ohio’s public safety agencies informed and involved, Ohio is having a FirstNet kickoff conference on January 17th at the Airport Marriott, Columbus. This event is free to all public safety staff and government officials.

The information presented at the conference will provide public safety officials with valuable insight into the future of FirstNet and public safety broadband in Ohio. Numerous communications solution providers will present new and exciting services to attendees, providing convenient and comprehensive market research and an update on the current technological state of the art. Additionally, officials with the state of Ohio and the FirstNet program will be present to answer questions about their involvement in FirstNet implementation.
