Committee Sign Up: 9-1-1 & Communications Center Management Committee

Ohio APCO President Lydia Frey is pleased to announce the chapter is looking for volunteers to serve on the newly formed “9-1-1 & Communications Center Management Committee”. This new committee was formed by Immediate Past President Satoru Persons and voted as a standing committee by the membership at the May 22nd chapter meeting. The mission of this committee is to serve the chapter membership by advising on issues related to 9-1-1, public safety answering point and communications center management. Specific goals will be formulated once the committee assignments have been made.

President Frey has named two seasoned public safety professionals and long time Ohio APCO members to serve as co-chairs for this new committee: Patrick Brandt, Director of Delaware County Emergency Communications and Andrew Knapp, Director of Hamilton County Communications.

If you are interested in serving on this committee, please sign up by clicking on the link below. The only requirement to serve is that you must be a current APCO member. Selection preference will be given to participants that are currently serving as a director, manager or supervisor of a PSAP or emergency communications center or that are currently serving as a county 9-1-1 coordinator. Application deadline is August 1, 2019.
