Title: A resolution to amend Article VIII, Section 1.1 of the Bylaws of the Ohio Chapter of APCO.
On February 22, 2021, Ohio APCO President Lydia Frey created the Special Committee entitled the “Telecommunicator Emergency Response Taskforce (TERT)” to formalize the chapter’s efforts to establish a statewide TERT program. Because of the extensive work this committee will need to preform both in planning and ongoing administration of the program, the Executive Committee made the recommendation that this committee become a permanent, standing committee of the Chapter. At the May 19, 2021 membership meeting, the Constitution and Bylaws committee is offering to the quorum Resolution 2021-01, a resolution amending Article VIII, Section 1.1 of the Bylaws of the Ohio Chapter to read:
“The Standing Committees of Ohio APCO shall be: Constitution and Bylaws, Training, Awards & Scholarships, Legislative, Nominating, Telecommunicator Emergency Response Taskforce (TERT), and Frequency Advisory.”
In accordance with the procedures established in Article V, Section 1 of the Constitution of the Ohio Chapter of APCO, this resolution will be presented to the quorum at the May 19, 2021 chapter meeting for discussion and vote. A two-thirds (2/3) majority vote of the quorum is required for passage.
