| The Ohio Chapters of the National Emergency Number Association (NENA) and the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials, International (APCO) are pleased to announce the continuation of a program for Public Safety Communications personnel in Ohio. Both Chapters recognize the value of the important contributions that Public Safety Communications professionals make to the safety and well-being of our citizens throughout the state. To publicly honor the outstanding individual achievements and contributions of the men and women who are the backbone of Ohio’s 9-1-1 system, the Chapters have initiated the “Ohio 9-1-1 Gold Star Award Program.” |

To honor these outstanding performers a special awards luncheon will be held April 16th at the Crown Plaza North in Columbus. In order to make this annual event a great success, we need your assistance and the support of your agency. We need to spread the word about the program. We all need to be ready to nominate our own local heroes for their outstanding acts of heroism and dedication to service, first responder and citizens. |
