Anne Barr Appointed Chair of the
Ohio APCO Training Committee

Ohio APCO President Holly Wayt has appointed Anne Barr to serve as the chair of the Ohio APCO Training Committee effective immediately. Anne has been a member of the committee since 2006 and was recommended for the position by outgoing chair Mike Banks. 

Anne started her public safety career as a dispatcher with the Union County Sheriff's Office in 1986 and was promoted to Communications Director in 2005. In 2007, Anne received the designation of Registered Public-Safety Leader after being part of the first graduating class of the APCO RPL Leadership Certificate Program.

 

APCO is a member driven association of communications professionals that provides leadership; influences public safety communications decisions of government and industry; promotes professional development; and fosters the development and use of technology for the benefit of the public.
